   The initial idea was to update my 1993 book Winning with the Bishop's Opening but I soon realised this was not going to be so easy, not least of all because I originally wrote the book on an Amstrad word processor - which is now already a museum piece! - and lost the disks years ago. Therefore I decided to write a completely new book using my own experience of the line which I have played off and on since the age of 10. Though I have a bias towards White's chances I do behove the best way lo learn the opening is to see what to do when the opponent goes wrong. There are many books which don't even mention standard tricks because they assume everyone knows them already but I will endeavour to point these out at every opportunity to make it easier for you to win quickly!
