   The Scotch game is the open, live and dynamic debut with lot of challenge in the centre and with mutual chances for both opponents. This debut is played by Gary Kasparov, Magnus Carlsen and other GMs. 1. e4-e5 2.Nf3-Nc6 3.d4. I like this debut, as the Spanish game is not to my taste and I am quite bored of playing Italian game. However, I prefer the Scotch gambit. White does not take a pawn on d4 and sacrifices c3 instead, or takes the d4 pawn slowly developing.
